British Telecom (BT)

BT is one of the world's leading providers of communications solutions and services. Its principal activities include networked IT services, local, national and international telecommunications services, and higher-value broadband and internet products and services.

Adastral Park (Martlesham Heath) in Suffolk, UK, is home to 3,500 of BT's top scientists, engineers and business people. They provide research, development and consulting services for BT, developing innovative technological ideas and solutions that translate into practical and marketable solutions for the business.

BT invested £1,119 million (over 950 million Euro) in Research & Development in 2008/2009 to support their drive for innovation. BT is an active participant in EU Framework Programmes and has participated in all the past Programmes, primarily in the IST area.

Having joined the the OneLab experimental facility during OneLab2, BT  is involved in the main tasks on publish-subscribe virtualisation and requirements for platform extensions.
