Project Coordinator

UPMC, formerly Paris 6, is the coordinator of both phases of the OneLab project. It is the largest scientific and medical university in France. Its computer science laboratory, LIP6, is internationally recognised as a leading research institute. The LIP6 Networks and Performance Analysis (NPA) group headed by Professor Serge Fdida, focuses on the internet of the future, with the vision of an autonomous, reliable, high-performance, and secure, pervasive network.

Role in the OneLab project:

UPMC has coordinated both phases of the OneLab project, is responisble for operations and the running of PlanetLab Europe. In the first phase of the project (OneLab1) UPMC lead WP1 Operations and WP0 Management. In OneLab2 UPMC leads WP0 Management, WP2 Operations, WP3 Dissemination and WP4 Topology Information. UPMC also participates in WP7 Content.
