The current phase of the OneLab project, OneLab2, is built on three complementary pillars:

• Pillar 1: Platform
  Operates, federates and extends PlanetLab Europe. Integrates new features and disseminates information regarding the platform and other consortium activities.
• Pillar 2: Tools
  Enhances the testbed-native network monitoring service that supports experiments on PlanetLab Europe.
• Pillar 3: Customers
  Brings PlanetLab Europe closer to a select set of pilot "customers", or testbeds that are testing novel ideas in networking research. Also develops benchmarking techniques for experimentation.
  

The scientific work in the three pillars takes place under the leadership of the Scientific Director, Dr Timur Friedman, of UPMC Paris Universitas. Integration of the contributions of the three pillars into the PlanetLab system is performed under the leadership of the Technical Director, Dr Thierry Parmentelat, of INRIA.

In support of these pillars, management of the OneLab2 consortium is assured by the following work package:

• WP0 Management - leader: Mr Frédéric Vaissade, UPMC Paris Universitas
  Oversees the combined scientific, administrative, and financial aspects of OneLab2.
