Leader: Dr Dirk Trossen, BT The objective of this work package is to provide infrastructural support for large-scale data-centric networking research. To achieve this objective, PlanetLab Europe must be extended to accommodate the needs of experiments in content-based networking. This work package defines requirements specifically related to content delivery, notably CDNs, and publish/subscribe (pub/sub) architectures. These are defined in conjunction with relevant research efforts in this area in order to capture the appropriate and needed set of requirements. Content-focussed traffic models as seen by the PlanetLab Europe platform will be identified, with the intent to derive insights into traffic models that cannot be derived from individual experiments. Aligned with the long-term objectives of the overall OneLab2 project, the work throughout the work package will provide first proof-of-concept implementations of the developed solutions with the goal of integration into the PlanetLab Europe platform in a continuation of effort beyond the end of the OneLab project's second phase. This is reflected in the current deliverables by finishing the project work period with proof-of-concept implementations rather than fully-integrated platform elements. Relevant deliverables:
