Leader: Dr Timur Friedman, UPMC Paris Universitas The first phase of the OneLab project (OneLab1) was responsible for setting up and running PlanetLab Europe, a distributed testbed, in federation with PlanetLab Central in the United States. OneLab's secondary phase continues the running of the testbed, and also goes further in research into how to best run and ensure the long-term future of the testbed. Significant effort is devoted in the Operations work package to documenting the testbed and improving its usability. This is important for attracting new users, and the results will feed directly into the workshops that are run by WP3 Dissemination. The main partner for this work package is UPMC, while HUJI is responsible for leading the documentation effort and improving PlanetLab Europe usability through the selection and development of usability tools. In addition, HUJI leads the effort in planning for the future of PlanetLab Europe, through the study of improved testbed operations. All other project partners are also involved in this work package in the deployment of nodes for PlanetLab Europe. Relevant deliverables: |
