The Platform Pillar operates PlanetLab Europe, a large-scale system offered as a service to the community. It extends PlanetLab service across Europe and federates with other PlanetLab infrastructures worldwide. It integrates new features into the system. It disseminates information regarding the platform as well as the overall activities of the consortium.

This pillar consists of three work packages:

• WP1 Integration - leader: Dr Thierry Parmentelat, INRIA
  Maintains, extends, validates, and distributes the OneLab Build, which provides the functionality of the PlanetLab Europe testbed.
• WP2 Operations - leader: Dr Timur Friedman, UPMC Paris Universitas
  Runs PlanetLab Europe, documents the platform, and studies the use of simple incentive mechanisms to obtain a more efficient use of the platform.
• WP3 Dissemination - leader: Dr Timur Friedman, UPMC Paris Universitas
  Communicates regarding the platform, running tutorial workshops for users as well as academic workshops that gather the networking and distributed systems communities. This work package also communicates regarding the wider activities of the consortium.
