Prof. Fdida conceived the vision behind OneLab, and developed the original project - leading to the launch of OneLab1 in 2006. He represents the coordinating partner of the project, UPMC, and one of his primary roles is to act as an intermediary between the European Commission and the OneLab Consortium, as well as to promote and supervise the overall technical and scientific progress of the project.
Professor Fdida has a long history of successful involvement in European projects (OneLab1, WIP, ACCA, ANA, ENEXT), and has played a prominent role in many IST and ITEA projects over the last 15 years. He is the co-director of Euronetlab, a joint academic-industrial laboratory advancing research and development work on QoS routers, radio routers and security. He is also the co-founder of Qosmos, a company specialised in network monitoring.
