| New lab opened by French education minister |

On Monday May 2nd, an opening ceremony for the LINCS laboratory (Laboratory of Information, Network and Communication Sciences) was attended by Valérie Pécresse, the French minister for higher education and research. LINCS is a collaborative initiative between the state and private industry, run jointly by OneLab lead partners UPMC, INRIA and Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs France, along with the Institut Télécom, and is dedicated to Future Internet research and innovation. ![]() OneLab coordinator Professor Serge Fdida of UPMC presents the OneLab experimental facility to Valérie Pécresse. Also present at the inauguration were Jean-Luc Beylat, president of Alcatel-Lucent Bell Labs France, Michel Cosnard, CEO of INRIA, Jean-Claude Jeanneret, CEO of the Institut Télécom and Jean-Charles Pomerol, president of UPMC.
