| PlanetLab Europe software update: MyPLC version 4.3 |

PlanetLab has released a new version of MyPLC, the software used to run the PlanetLab Europe testbed. The new version represents a major upgrade from version 4.2 MyPLC, and was codeveloped by Princeton University and the OneLab project.
Improvements brought by this upgrade include an entirely reworked user interface and a more flexible data model. The API is not 100% backward compatible but brings new generic features for handling heterogeneous types of resources like nodes and interfaces. Version 4.3 is a convergence version that takes advantage of these new features to provide convergence between the two different flavours of 4.2 that were running on PlanetLab Central (managed from Princeton University Department of Computer Science) and PlanetLab Europe respectively, especially in terms of supporting wireless nodes and dummynet boxes for emulation.
